- 1. Find the 25th percentile of all order sizes (the "Small" threshold)
- 2. Medium = 3× the Small threshold
- 3. Large = 10× the Medium threshold
- 4. Whale = 50× the Large threshold
This means a $1,000 order could be "Whale" in a small market but "Small" in a high-volume market - it's all relative!
